Datsyuk Embarrasses Couture, Sick Giroux Shootout Goal

We have a double feature for you today in videos to check out. Both awesome and worth the time spent watching.

First, if you didn’t watch the Red Wings visit the Sharks last night, you missed some magic. While the Sharks put an end to the Red Wings’ short but impressive road win streak, the highlight of the night featured Pavel Datsyuk. I’m not sure if any of you have noticed this, but Pavel always brings his A game against the Sharks, and usually makes someone look foolish. A few years ago, it was dangling Ryane Clowe causing he and Mike Grier to crash into each other.

Last night, Datsyuk gave Logan Couture a nice look at his stickhandling skills and left Couture tripping over himself and falling to the ice. Check out the video of Datsyuk dangling Couture below.

Next up we have Claude Giroux dazzling in Philadelphia with a sick shootout goal on Evgeni Nabakov. Giroux throws in some nice stickhandling and a good head fake on the approach, then pulls the puck back with a smooth heel drag and lifts it into the empty net over a sprawling Nabakov. I’ll give the goalie some credit here, he did manage to take away everything low, but Giroux is way too good to not score there.

Check out the video below and leave us your thoughts on these two sick plays in the comments!
