NHL Three Stars – What are they using?

FIRST STAR – CAM TALBOT, G, EDMONTON OILERS

Cam Talbot helped to prove why the Oilers traded for him as he put together an outstanding week and earned first star honors. Talbot led the Oilers to a 3-0-0 record last week, which included one shutout. He had a 0.65 and .981 save percentage during those three games as well.

Talbot is currently wearing the CCM Premier goalie pads, along with the CCM Premier blocker and catch glove. He switches it up and uses a Bauer goal stick, however.

 

SECOND STAR – MARK SCHEIFELE, C, WINNIPEG JETS

Mark Scheifele went off on a tear last week for the Jets and picked up second star honors. He’s helping to lead the team after the Andrew Ladd trade and Bryan Little injury. Scheifele notched six goals, and picked up an assist as well, in four games played last week. His six goals led all players during the week.

Starting down low, Scheifele is wearing Bauer Vapor 1X skates on his feet. He wears Bauer pro spec pants, Bauer Vapor APX2 pro gloves with extra padding on the backhand, and snipes with his Bauer Nexus 1N stick. On his head, a Bauer helmet.

 

THIRD STAR – BRENT BURNS, D, SAN JOSE SHARKS

Brent Burns had a great week as well, leading all defenseman in scoring with three goals and three assists. He even picked up a Gordie Howe hat trick during San Jose’s 2-1 overtime win over Calgary. Burns currently has 24 goals and 36 assists on the season.

Burns is a CCM guy, starting up top with his CCM helmet. He wears CCM pro spec gloves, and uses an older model CCM RBZ Superfast stick. He wears CCM pro spec pants, and uses CCM Tacks skates with extra shot blocking protection.
