CCM Fitlite Helmet

The latest helmet from CCM Hockey has finally made its debut, appearing for the first time during the 2015 NHL Winter Classic.

The CCM Fitlite helmet is a new helmet from CCM, although it’s roots stem from the Reebok brand. With CCM absorbing the Reebok product lines, it only made sense that the helmets would be transitioned as well.

The former Reebok 11k helmet will be rebranded as the CCM Fitlite helmet, but it will also contain a number of updates.

Diving into the features, the new Fitlite helmet will incorporate the R.E.D. system, which is also seen on the CCM Resistance helmet. R.E.D. stands for Rotational Energy Dampening, and the technology involves a series of liquid filled bladders which help to improve rotational deceleration of the head upon impact.

The CCM Fitlite helmet will also offer a customizable fit using the Microdial II system along with low density and flexible EPP foams. It will also feature Lycra laminated cushions to help provide a comfortable fit and 360 degree wrap around the head.

The shell of the Fitlite helmet will be constructed with a high density PE shell and PETG subshell. This will provide a professional level of protection, all the while remaining lightweight.

CCM”s Fitlite helmet will drop in 2015 and be available in a variety of colors, including accent colors as well. For example, you can get an all black Fitlite helmet, or pair a black helmet with a red accent around the vents. Additional helmet colors include navy blue, royal blue, white, and red.

  1. Will the FL80 Helmet (on the opposite page of the catalog photo above) replace the current Reebok 7K helmet? Also, any idea when in 2015 these helmets will be released?

  2. really loving this helmet, gonna miss the reebok branding tho, but why place a large CCM logo where team decals are usually applied? they should be found on the locking clip like the reebok versions, just a thought 🙂

  3. I personally thought that the Resistance looked so much better than this. I don’t understand why CCM would put their logo where they did on the sides of the helmet
