Seth Griffith scores backwards between-the-legs goal

Boston Bruins forward Seth Griffith put his own personal spin on the “between-the-legs” move.

Griffith, 21, is off to a strong start with the Bruins in his rookie season with six points in 12 games, including four goals. He continued his solid start last night when the Bruins took on the New Jersey Devils, breaking a 2-2 tie late in the second period with a nifty backwards between-the-legs goal.

After blocking a shot from the point in the Bruins defensive zone, Griffith pounced toward the loose puck where he fought for possession with two New Jersey defenseman, The trio struggled to gain control of the puck as it kept bouncing toward the New Jersey net, with Griffith getting turned around in the process. Finding the puck in his feet in front of the net, Griffith took a backwards shot between his legs and managed to put the puck past netminder Cory Schneider, providing the Bruins with the game-winning goal. The team went on to best the Devils by a score of 4-2.
