Alkali Hockey will be introducing the Alkali RPD Team + skates in the 4th quarter of 2014. The skates will fall in at a mid-range price point, likely close to the $299.99 that the current RPD Team skates cost.
In my opinion, the RPD Team + skates have a tremendous visual appeal and may be the best looking from the new line. The predominately black boot is accented with sharp white and red lines, along with matching red wheels.
The Alkali RPD Team + skates will have an ultra light quarter package that will be 100% heat moldable, providing a great and comfortable fit for your foot. Using the Alkali Pro Roller Last, the boot will allow your feet to fit more properly since there will be more room in the forefoot. Your also going to see large comfort edge upper ankle pads at this price point, increasing comfort.
A flexible tendon guard has made its way to this price point as well, allowing for maximum range of motion and a proper stride extension. Resting over your foot will be a thermoformable felt tongue with lace bite insert for additional protection.
Inside the boot you’ll find an Actvwick anti-slip moisture wicking liner. This will help hold your foot in place, and remove sweat throughout your games.
Beneath your foot will be a composite outsole with maximizing energy transfer, and Alkali’s Movement chassis which aims to provide a quicker turning radius, better balance and improved power transfer. The Alkali RPD Team + skates will come stock with Labeda Millenium wheels, and will utilize ABEC 9 608 bearings.
