We’ve highlighted a few sweet videos from Detroit Red Wings prospect Andreas Athanasiou within the past few years, including his sick breakaway goal. We definitely know that he has a nice set of hands, and can make defenders and goaltenders look silly with his moves.
Athanasiou proved his talents once again during the OHL playoffs by tallying a ridiculous between the legs goal from just beneath the faceoff dot. The Barrie Colts star and leading scorer first made a slick move to beat the defenseman, and then thought, why not go between the legs with this one?
Unfortunately for Athanasiou and the Colts, this would be the only goal they ended up scoring in a 4-1 loss to North Bay. The Battalion currently lead the series 2-0.
