This Spring, Bauer will be introducing the latest installment of the RE-AKT helmet, the all new Bauer RE-AKT 100 helmet. Bauer is introducing the RE-AKT 100 as the next generation of protection with enhanced impact management.
The Bauer RE-AKT 100 helmet features the new Suspend-Tech 2 Liner. Bauer has utilized FleXorb technology with Poron XRD foam molded onto a four way stretch fabric to provide great impact absorption. Using multiple points of attachment, the updated Suspend-Tech 2 Liner manages rotational impacts better than the original RE-AKT helmet, and compresses or stretches to minimize excessive movement.
FleXorb, if you’re not familiar with it, is a new material which will be used in protective equipment and is exclusive to Bauer Performance Sports. Bauer’s partnership with G-Form LLC has allowed them to utilize this material in their new products.

The RE-AKT 100 also uses Seven+ in VTX Technology to provide the appropriate impact management for high and low energy linear impacts. Additionally, it is set up with the YourFIT system to improve fit. The spring-loaded side pads use Curv composite and Poron XRD foam to provide an improved customization and a better fit overall. The occipital lock and tool-less adjustment on the helmet complete the customized YourFIT system.
Bauer’s upcoming RE-AKT 100 helmet will also have the following features:
- Angled Ear Loops – Will provide an accurate angle to secure the chin strap into position
- Ventilation Ports – Strategically placed for improved airflow
- Moisture Management Liner – Providing enhanced comfort while wicking moisture away from the eyes
- Dual Density Ear Covers – Improving protection with a clear protective film to eliminate abrasion
- Two Piece Shell – Offering flexibility to adjust the fit for a variety of head shapes

BOught one of these very light nice helmet but every time I put it on to my size it gets bigger an doesn’t fit an I don’t think the back things works. Does it need to click in? Any suggestions
Definitely will be getting this for my son who’s already had one concussion this year. Helmets and concussions don’t go hand in hand and one doesn’t have anything to do with the other, I know. However, moms and safety DO go hand in hand and so if I see that something is going to protect my son a little more on the ice, I’m all for getting it. Way to go, Bauer. Now just get it out there for us to purchase and quit teasing us.
