Update 4/29/11: The Bauer APX skates are now available for purchase, and ready to ship! Head over to Ice Warehouse now to buy your Bauer APX skates.
Update 12/10/10: We finally have a picture of the final version of the Bauer Vapor APX skates. A lot of people are complaining about the look, saying they like the x60 better. Personally, I think the APX skates look sick. The biggest downfall, as with the Total One, is going to be how expensive these skates are. As some of our commenters have pointed out, you can expect these skates to cost $800. They’ll hit retail store shelves in April 2011.
Within the past couple days, a couple pictures have been leaked of a prototype version of the new Bauer Vapor APX ice hockey skates. These skates look the be the successor to the Bauer Vapor X:60. There is no telling if the graphics on this prototype will be the same as the production version, but they look pretty slick.
Check out the pictures below and let us know what you think!

Looks like they have a comfort edge type of deal built into these skates like the TOTALONE skate. Toecap looks different from what’s been on the last two generations of Vapor skates. But it does look like the x-rib monocomp isn’t going anywhere, which is a good thing since it’s a good boot.

Yeah, if this is going to be the future of the Vapor Series, I might go back to the Supreme Series or more then likely, I’ll stay with my X60.
It doesnt look comfrontable.
If anything, the supreme one100 LE looks better then this. Again, this is all my opinion.

In my opinion I would say these skates are gonna be like $1000 because i bought total ones and they were $899. ( I got ripped off) and they were on sale so im just gonna stick with my total ones. Like Tim this is all my opinion

The bauer 7.0 is going to be the x60 pretty much. And the APX is like 60 grams lighter then the x60. And has a special insole that will help if your toes rub up front. Was in the right place at the right time when the bauer rep came in the store to show a local sports shop the new gear. Along with the new supreme total one “LE” limited edition stick. That is all red. And he said they just signed Toews to a contract.

I did a test group with bauer. We got to try the APX skates. Honestly, they were horrible. Uncomfortable, poorly balanced and generally bad. Not to mention ugly..
