NHL Three Stars – What are they using?

FIRST STAR – JONATHAN QUICK, G, LOS ANGELES KINGS

The Los Angeles Kings star goaltender earned first star honors by winning all four games he started last week. Not only that, but his numbers over that period were astounding – a 1.00 goals against average and a .968 save percentage. His efforts included one shutout and two games allowing only one goal.

Quick has been performing well this season in his Vaughn Velocity goal pads. He is also wearing a Vaughn Velocity blocker and catch glove. Alternatively, Quick is using a Warrior goal stick.

SECOND STAR – SHANE DOAN, RW, ARIZONA COYOTES

Shane Doan earned second star honors by leading the league in goal scoring last week. He tallied five goals in only three games played. Doan now has the most goals in Coyotes franchise history.

Shane Doan uses gear from a few different manufacturers. On his feet, Doan has a pair of Bauer Vapor 1X skates, along with extra shot blocking protection. Moving up, you’ll see he’s using Warrior pants, as well as a Warrior Dynasty HD1 stick and Warrior Covert gloves. Up top, Doan wears a CCM helmet to complete his setup.

THIRD STAR – KRIS LETANG, D, PITTSBURGH PENGUINS

Kris Letang had a successful week with the rebounding Pittsburgh Penguins. He picked up two goals and four assists in three games to help the Penguins continue their mid-season success. Letang currently has 24 points in 30 games for the Penguins.

Kris Letang also uses a variety of gear, starting with his Bauer Supreme MX3 skates. Moving up you’ll find he uses CCM pro pants. His gloves are Warrior Dynasty AX1’s, while he dishes and dangles with an Easton Synergy HTX stick. Up top, Letang is using a Bauer helmet.
