Tarasenko scores one-handed gem against Wild

Vladamir Tarasenko continues to prove why he should be included in any conversation about today’s elite players.

Tarasenko is also one of the most creative players on the ice today, as he further illustrated last night during St. Louis’ dominate 6-1 win over the Wild with his one-handed gem of a goal against Wild goalie Devin Dybnuk after fighting through two Wild defenders to get a breakaway. See video below.

You could argue that no one player’s individual efforts this post season have been as critical to his team’s success as that of Tarasenko. Not only did he post a hat trick in Game 2 of the series, helping the Blues coast to a 4-1 victory, but he currently lead’s the league with five goals in four games and has emerged as an offensive leader for the Blues when other players, like Oshie, Stastny and Backes, have largely been held off the scoresheet against the Wild.
