Henrik Sedin Notches 700th Assist on Incredible No Look Pass

Henrik Sedin tallied his 700th career assist last night as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the L.A. Kings. Perfectly fitting to the situation, it was brother Daniel Sedin who put the beautiful pass in to the back of the net.

The play unfolded in the middle of the third period as the Sedin’s played a little give and go in the Kings zone. First, Daniel Sedin dished over to Henrik who then skated through the left circle and began to cut behind the net. Instead of taking the puck behind the net, however, Henrik turns back and slings a long no look pass over to Daniel. The pass somehow ends up right in Daniel’s wheelhouse and he unloads a bomb of a slapshot past Jonathan Quick.

The assist was Henrik’s 51st on the season, and of course the 700th of his career. On the flip side, the goal was Daniel’s 18th of the year.
