NHL Photo of the Day
- Updated: March 15, 2012
Jonas Hiller of the Anaheim Ducks picked up his 15th NHL career as they defeated the Detroit Red Wings 4-0. Teemu Selanne opened the scoring halfway through the second period that eventually led to two more before the end of the period. As if that was not a nail in the coffin, Kyle Palmieri knocked in his third goal of the season and the fourth and final goal of the game. Hiller made 23 saves on the night.
The Ducks are trying to make a push for the playoffs but will most likely end up short. Going 4-5-1 in their last 10 and nine points out of 8th seed in the Western Conference, it is time to start working on Selanne and a deal for next year or otherwise retool.
