With a new hockey season on its way, we eagerly await the opportunity to post our favorite jaw dropping goals, hits, and saves. While the NHL season does not start until October, I have an early look for you at a great goal scored by Tampa Bay Lightning prospect Richard Panik.
It certainly looks like this youngster has a lot of talent, but when Ryan Kennedy of The Hockey News calls this goal “an early favorite for most-forwarded goal video of the year,” I’m going to have to strongly disagree. We’ve seen this one done before, the exact same way. Ovechkin is due for another 60 goal season, I’m sure you will be able to pick out about five of his goals this season that will oust Panik’s dandy.
