Bauer Supreme UltraSonic Skates

The time is almost here for a refresh on the Supreme line of skates from Bauer Hockey, and leading the charge will be the flagship model Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates.

The Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates are designed for the elite level player and are inspired by the features professionals are looking for in their skates.

It all starts with a 3D lasted carbon Curv composite quarter package. This quarter will be rigid and provide excellent energy transfer with each stride. Beyond that, the Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates will be heat moldable allowing you to achieve a more custom 360 degree fit around your foot. At the rear of the boot will be a ReFlex tendon guard designed to increase range of motion in your stride and help generate maximum output. At the front of the Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates, a ReFlex Pro tongue helps to maximize range of motion, but also creates a spring type effect to capture energy as the carbon insert flexes, and then release the energy as it snaps back into place. Additionally, the composite inserts and tongue design will provide increased impact protection.

Moving inside the boot, the Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates will be using their Lock Fit Pro liner to keep your foot dry and locked in place. The HydraMax material will provide comfort and moisture wicking properties, while the grip portion will keep your foot locked in place to help increase energy transfer with each stride. Anti-abrasion patches are also used to keep high wear zones in good shape. Around the ankle area, the Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates will feature AeroFoam Pro padding. The AeroFoam Pro padding is a key upgrade to the UltraSonic skates versus the previous generation. This addition will help to improve comfort in this key area.

Below your foot you’ll find a Lock Fit footbed, helping to keep that foot locked in place. Beneath that, another key upgrade is the Unibody technology integrated with the 3D lasted carbon Curv composite boot. Bauer has changed the way the outsole and boot come together with this approach on the UltraSonic skates, achieving a style closer to a full one piece setup. Moving down even further, you will find a Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder, and the all new Tuuk LS Pulse TI Edge Runner with power profile. These runners are the most advanced Bauer has ever made and will be a welcomed addition to the Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates.

Finally, rounding things out at the front of the skate, the Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates will feature a brand new toe cap. This new toe cap features an asymmetrical design with less negative space for a better fit, while also incorporating carbon fiber for increased strength and a lighter weight.

The Bauer Supreme UltraSonic skates will be launched later in 2020 at hockey retailers everywhere, including our favorite retailer, Ice Warehouse. Keep checking back for more updates, or head over to Ice Warehouse today to check out their end of season markdown sale on Bauer gear.

  1. How much are they going to cost? Thinking of picking the Supreme ultrasonic. On the Bauer site a custom pair cost $1350. A regular version must be less right? Plus when is the launch day for Canada?

  2. Just bought a pair – Incredible skates with a better fit profile than the top of the line vapor – at least for my feet. Vapor toe box is a bit more roomy and the Ultra Sonic just feels as bit more secure (both great skates though) – That being said, I had to go 1/2 size larger in the UltraSonic than the Vapor (maybe its just me though). Note: The Steel on the Ultrasonic comes with a Quad ProSharp Profile built on so maybe finding blades or prosharp capable shop for extra steel will be an issue? Paid $945 USD + Tax
