Alkali Revel 1 Roller Hockey Skates
- Updated: February 18, 2020
March 1st marks the launch of the latest and greatest from Alkali Hockey, including thier flagship skates, the Alkali Revel 1 roller hockey skates.
The Alkali Revel 1 roller hockey skates mark a big change for Alkali, going back to their roots a bit and making great roller hockey specific products. That is shown with through some of the changes they’re introducing with the Revel line, which we’ll explore more below.
Starting with the quarter package of the Alkali Revel 1 roller hockey skates, you will find a heat moldable Revel IX quarter with Pro Plus Stiffness. This rigid quarter package will help ensure great energy transfer with each stride. The top of the quarter will also include a comfort collar to help protect your ankle from unwanted rubbing and irritation.
Moving inside the boot of the Alkali Revel 1 roller hockey skates, you will find a moisture wicking Clarino liner to help wick away sweat from your feet and keep them dry. A two-piece 9mm pro felt tongue is used in front to provide ample lace bite protection as well as comfort around your foot.
Beneath your feet, Alkali will be using a stiff carbon fiber outsole to help maximize feel and energy transfer with each stride. Attached to the outsole of the Alkali Revel 1 roller hockey skates are perpaps the biggest change to the Revel line. There you will find an Alkali magnesium chassis with 80-80-76-76 setup. With the hi-lo style setup becoming available, many companies are jumping at the opportunity to use it, and Alkali is no different. The magnesium chassis is also incredibly lightweight while remaining rigid and strong.
The Alkali Revel 1 skates will roll on a set of Konixx Pure-X wheels which are some of the best available. The wheels will spin on Helo Quark bearings, which offer incredible roll. They utilize a glass-reinforced nylon cage, deeper raceways, and an elite performance speed lubricant to outperform Helo’s own swiss bearings.
The Alkali Revel 1 roller hockey skates will be available March 1st from our friends at Inline Warehouse for $599.99. If you want to be one of the first to get your hands on them, you can head over to Inline Warehouse today to pre-order yours!
