Auston Matthews Pulls Off Effortless and Incredible Stick Flip

We know Auston Matthews is an incredibly talented hockey player. He was a number one overall draft pick, is the Toronto Maple Leafs top player, has an incredible set of hands, and can apparently flip sticks to teammates with the best of them.

Yesterday, against the Florida Panthers, Matthews pulled off one of the most incredible stick flips I have ever seen. We’ve seen plays like this in the past, but what we saw from Matthews was basically a no look behind the back stick flip to a teammate. The teammate caught his stick and was able to jump right back into the play, rather than fumbling around trying to pick his stick up off the ice.

Check out the video clip below:

When he’s not stick flipping with style, Matthews has been tearing up the league. He currently has 31 goals and 23 assists on the season, good for 54 points in only 46 games played. He now has four consecutive 30 goal seasons on his resume, and very well could hit the 50 goal mark for the first time in his young career.
