CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT Stick
- Updated: July 5, 2018
Later in 2018, CCM will refresh another stick line and launch the all-new CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT stick. With some solid evolutions, the new Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT stick should build nicely on the previous generation.
To start out, the CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT stick is designed to help you get your shot off as quickly as possible with a low kick point and short loading period. Specifically, this stick will be great for shooters looking to maximize their quickness on shots below the circles.
CCM achieved the quick release in part due to the redesigned the Pop Matrix technology featured on the Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT stick. This re-engineered Ribcor geometry will provide energy transfer that is more seamless and efficient than in the Trigger 2. This design will maximize bending as well as the speed of release.
The CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT stick also features the recently introduced X-Flow technology. This advanced molding technology will improve quality and consistency in the shaft by removing excess resin and voids. Combined with Sigmatex carbon fiber, you’re going to see improved durability on the Ribcor Trigger 3D as well as a reduction in weight.
Into the lower shaft of the CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT stick, we’ll find a softer taper which helps create an optimal vertical flex. The flex profile is also enhanced with an optimized flex zone in the upper shaft, resulting in an easy load and quick release.
Down into the blade CCM has used Ascent Blade 3 technology on the Ribcor Trigger 3D PMT stick. This extremely lightweight blade has a tactile surface which enhances puck feel. There is also a reinforced toe and heel for added durability in those key areas.
Finally, in a design change made with the help of elite women’s hockey players, the intermediate version of the Ribcor Trigger 3D stick will offer new shaft dimensions. Using rounded corners and concave sidewalls, the Trigger 3D will help to provide better control and comfort.
Interested in grabbing a CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D Stick? You’re not alone. However, the stick is not expected to launch until the fall of 2018. Pre-orders are likely to start a month ahead of the release, so be sure to subscribe to our newsletter for updates on that, or visit our friends over at IceWarehouse.com when the stick becomes available.
