Don Cherry Sings “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” in Chicago
- Updated: August 19, 2017
Singing in public without any mistakes is one of the most difficult things any average Joe can do. We’ve seen many professional and talent artists screw up songs such as the national anthem and God Bless America on the biggest stages.
Just a notch below that is singing Take Me Out to the Ballgame at Wrigley Stadium. It’s not easy trying to follow in Harry Caray’s footsteps and get the Wrigley Field crowd pumped up two hours into a baseball game and not get boo’ed. Just ask these folks.
Today, one of the greatest personalities in hockey took his shot at singing the song. Sporting a cherry-patterned suit, Don Cherry sang during the seventh-inning stretch during Chicago Cubs 4-3 victory over to the Toronto Blue Jays.
Check out his performance below.
