Bauer Hockey has officially launched the all new 2017 Bauer Vapor 1X skates today.
The all new Vapor 1X skates are Bauer’s premier level skates in the Vapor line and are the most advanced Vapor skates Bauer has ever created.
Some of the greatest new features in the 1X skates revolves around fit and keeping your foot locked in place. The boot, liner, and tongue have all been redesigned to accomplish Bauer’s goals with their new skate.
The Flex Lock Pro tongue will utilize thermoformable composite inserts to improve comfort and protection. They will also help you to achieve more of a 360-degree fit than previous versions.
A Lock Fit Pro liner will help to keep your foot in place and eliminate any slippage while skating. In addition to that, it’s also going to help keep your foot cool and dry. The grip and moisture wicking improvements will ultimately lead to greater energy transfer and blazing fast speed.
Finally, a Lock Fit Pro lacing system was engineered to keep you locked in and ensure your laces stay tight all game long. The locking eyelets are from the 2nd to 7th and a softer overall construction will help improve wrap around your foot for improved forward flex.
The 2017 Vapor 1X will, of course, feature familiar construction technologies such as a Silver Curv Composite quarter package, memory foam ankle pads, speed Plate footbed, composite outsole, Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder and LS4 runner.
