If you haven’t yet mastered the toe drag, the top 10 KHL goals for week 3 of action will give you the perfect reason to do so. More than a couple of the highlight reel goals featured this week utilized a perfect toe drag to beat a defender. Of the top 10 goals, my favorite may very well have been from former NHLer Jiri Sekac of Ak Bars. His filthy toe drag dropped the defender to the ice and allowed him to easily beat the goaltender too. Sekac’s goal came in at #3 on the top 10.
Andre Popov, who also plays for Ak Bars, used a very similar looking toe drag to beat a defender for his goal. While Sekac’s looked better in my opinion, both toe drags were equally effective. Popov’s goal came in at #2 on the top 10.
