Detroit Red Wings prospect Tyler Bertuzzi, nephew of former NHLer Todd Bertuzzi, has quickly established a reputation as an aggressive player with undeniable offensive skill and strong finishing capabilities.
Add creative to that list of qualities.
Bertuzzi scored one of the more interesting goals of the Detroit Red Wings Development Camp last week when he basically bullied his way through an unsuspecting defender.
The unassisted tally came as Bertuzzi pshed the puck up the left side of the rink into a one-on-one with an opposing defender. He makes a a slight deke to the right before whacking the defender’s stick right out of his hands. He then slides the puck around the defender and slides it past the goalie for the tally.
