In the age of over the top and outrageous prom proposals, this one from Madison Square Garden is a unique and different form of asking a girl to prom.
In a photo posted by the New York Rangers earlier tonight, a fan named Vinny attended the Rangers game against the Blue Jackets. He was with a girl named Catherine and Rangers forward Mats Zuccarello made Vinny happier after the game than his goal in the first period.
Vinny was at the game with a sign that read “Zucc! If you give me your stick, she’ll go to prom with me!!!”
Zuccarello came up big for Vinny, as he gave him a signed stick with the inscription “Have fun at prom. Treat her right!”
The Rangers won the game 2-1 and sit comfortably in second place in the Metropolitan division.
