Bauer Nexus 1N Shoulder Pads

Bauer will be upgrading their Nexus line of protective equipment this summer, and one of the new items will be the Bauer Nexus 1N shoulder pads.

The Bauer Nexus 1N shoulder pads will include some great new technology when they are released. Let’s take a look at some of the changes.

Bauer will be utilizing Seven+ technology in the 1N shoulder pads. This molded foam technology specializes in multiple impact management. This means that the Seven+ technology foams can hold up to repeated impacts and continue to hold its original shape and design.

In terms of overall protection, the Seven+ technology foams will be included in the shoulder cap as well as the sternum area. The front side, spinal, and back kidney panels will all utilize HD (high density) foam. A free flex bicep guard will use a molded thermoformed component, while additional HD and MD foams will be used in the arch and belly pad.

Speaking of the arch, the Nexus 1N shoulder pads will include a new free glide arch for additional comfort, mobility, and protection.

The Nexus 1N shoulder pads will be lined with 37.5 technology which will work hard with your body to help remove excess moisture and keep you dry throughout the game.

Bauer’s all new Nexus 1N shoulder pads are expected to hit retail store shelves this summer. Keep an eye out at Ice Warehouse later this year when you’re ready to pick up a new pair.

  1. So does free glide arch mean segmentation? Because if so that is a decrease in protection. If they are similar to the Vapors with their segmented and less protective Free Flex Arch that is a downgrade from the previous Nexus 8000’s.
Even though the Supreme’s don’t have a segmented arch they are not up to par with the Nexus series arch protection.
It might be because I was using a new pair for comparison but the Nexus 8000’s actually seemed to have an increase in the Arch thickness from the previous longstanding Nexus 1000’s/Pro Series/Pro Lightspeed/Lightspeed 8000 design.
I’m sure almost no one cares for these comments, but preventing injury is pretty important. Most won’t care until AFTER they get hurt, in which case you might see my point about the segmentation in comparison to otherwise.
