Cory Schneider 2016 All Star Game Pads

New Jersey Devils goalie Cory Schneider is taking a country music approach to this weekend’s All Star Game. Vaughn Hockey tweeted a photo of what pads he intends to use this weekend in Nashville.

His custom made Vaughn V6 pads features a white background with his team colors red and black as the trim. The outer rolls are red on the bottom and white on top. They have a double knee break and the thigh rise is pinstriped red.

The bottom half of the pad features crossing guitars, paying homage to the Music City and country music. Playing in his first All-Star Game, he’ll be paired with Washington’s Braden Holtby giving the Metropolitan the best tandem heading into the three-on-three showcase.

Let’s hope that the fancy look and design will help him stop more pucks than letting pucks in.
