If you happen to be playing at NARCh, you can be one of the first to check out the brand new inline skates from Bauer.
The Bauer Vapor 1XR skates will be the premier skate in the line, and they are absolutely premium at every level. Starting with the boot, you’ll find a 3D lasted Curv composite quarter package, making the Bauer 1XR skates the most rigid and stable in the game today. They will also feature the same updated X-Rib design found on the 1X ice skates, as well as a new Curv composite ankle support.
Inside the boot, Bauer has included the new 37.5 technology in the liner. This liner will help to evaporate sweat up to five times faster than other materials. This is going to be especially important for roller hockey players who are used to playing in such warm conditions.
Beneath the boot you’ll find Bauer’s Kryptonium chassis, which has managed to be incredibly light while still maintaining its strength. Bauer will continue to use the Revision Variant Plus wheels on the 1XR skates, as well as Swiss LE bearings.
The Bauer Vapor 1XR skates are a beast of a product, and will definitely meet the needs of professional level roller hockey players.
Expect the price on the 1XR skates to come in around $950. They should be available later this Summer or in early Fall.
