Despite having just released their latest skate line about a month ago, the latest limited edition Bauer skate is already making the rounds online.

The latest skate to get the limited edition treatment will be the Bauer Vapor 1x. The new Bauer Vapor 1X LE skates feature a blacked out look, similar to other LE skates from Bauer, and are not likely to make their debut until Fall of 2015 or Spring 2016.

Another unique feature on the Bauer Vapor 1X LE skates will be the red liner, along with red accents featured on the boot and tongue. To take it one step further, Bauer has paired these skates with red laces as well which really help accent the skates nicely.

Beyond that, it’s business as usual for the 1X LE skates. They will offer the same features that make the original 1X skates incredible, but in a whole new visual package.

Check out the new Bauer Vapor 1X LE skates below and drop us a note in the comments with your thoughts! Do you like the original 1X skates better, or do you prefer the blacked out look of the limited edition model?

  1. It looks incredible! If the Red was replaced with Blue even sharper. Add a look with a silver/blue mix Tendon guard to replace the all black Y tendon guard. I am assuming it’s all black based on all the pictures I gathered for the 1XLE. You look close and the silver Y on the back is blacked out. If they did a silver/blue mix shine look, it would be the best looking skate on earth. If it was the 2009 X:60 back tendon with the silver/blue shine. SEXY!

I’m getting two pairs but they better make the 1N Nexus skate SEXIER because my foot is ideal for it. Gonna last me until I’m an old geezer, best shinny man on earth! Hahaha don’t be offended. It’s fun and I love it!!!

  2. The X:60 Bauer 2009 skate had that one line on the back that made the skate the coolest looking one on earth.

Add that flash on the 1N Nexus LE and make them in Junior sizes. They skipped two generations of Nexus lines without the abrasion pads, and drainage holes… Fusion was crap so not much missed. Add LS3, or LS4 with it and you’ve got a beautiful skate.

The best skate will be X:60 Tendon guard with the silver replaced with silver/blue shine that reflects the light. Composite curve 1N figure 8 roaming around the quarter instead the X with Blue laces and Blue Bauer logos. Blue laces, full grey 75.5 replaces 37.5 liner which will dry faster. Future of Bauer is the FUTURE. And we see the the other companies come skimp from your goodies in the next few years ie… abrasion pads, clarino liner from your XXX into CCM RBZ, and composite. Bauer owns it.

  3. The 1X is not attractive in my opinion. The silver stripe is way too overbearing. The blacked out skate is worlds better. My son moved from MX3s he just outgrew to a pair of APX2s that Hockey Monkey had left over. Believe it or not the awful looks of the 1X leaned him towards the APX2 skate. Since he out grows skates within 8 months we will definitely be buying these.

  4. These are horrible looking, and to JD Ma Bauer is not future if they keep up with the horrible customer service. They are easily one of the worst companies to deal with, I guess they think because the are so big and successful they can treat the customers like dirt.

    • Bauer does tend to get back to thier customers, compared to their retailers.

I suppose this is the best way to interact so they build a sweet skate.

If they can get the Tendon Guard on the Next Nexus Skate to either glitter or flash like those bike lights in blue rather than red, that would be incredibly cool! Wouldn’t even be heavy, I’ve seen them in cartoon books and Cristmas cards. BLUE, SILVER, BLACK, BLUE TOE CAP?
