NHL Three Stars – What are they using?

FIRST STAR – DEVAN DUBNYK, G, MINNESOTA WILD

Devan Dubnyk Minnesota Wild

Being a top three star has become a familiar place for Devan Dubnyk since the Minnesota Wild traded for him. He earned his spot this time around by going 4-0-0 last week with a 1.22 goals against average and .962 save percentage. I think it’s safe to say that the Wild are in the playoff picture solely because of his play. In fact, Dubnyk is 26-6-1 since being acquired by the Wild.

Dubnyk is still rocking the same Bauer gear as he was a few weeks ago. He wears the Bauer Supreme Total One NXG goal pads, as well as the Total One NXG glove and blocker. Dubnyk uses a Bauer goal stick in net as well.

SECOND STAR – CAM ATKINSON, RW, COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS

Cam Atkinson Columbus Blue Jackets

Cam Atkinson of the Columbus Blue Jackets earned his spot as second star of the week by scoring 4 goals and adding another 3 assists in only 3 games played. His awesome week included a hat trick against the Chicago Blackhawks.

Atkinson seems to primarily use Easton or Bauer gear. His helmet is from Bauer, while he is having some success with the new Easton Stealth CX stick. He also uses Easton gloves, the Easton HSX gloves. Atkinson uses Bauer pro model pants, and his skates are the Bauer Total One MX3’s.

THIRD STAR – RYAN O’REILLY, C, COLORADO AVALANCHE

Ryan O'Reilly Colorado Avalanche

Ryan O’Reilly had himself quite a week to earn third star honors last week. In fact, he led the NHL in assists for the week with 7, and picked up a goal on top of that. His 8 points in 4 games were part of an 8 game point streak that is still on going. His hot streak even has him picking up points in 18 of his last 21 games played.

O’Reilly also scatters himself around when it comes to gear. Like Atkinson, he uses a Bauer helmet. However, O’Reilly is using the Warrior Covert QR1 stick to go along with his Warrior Dynasty AX1 four roll gloves. O’Reilly’s pants are also made by Warrior, while on his feet you’ll find the Easton Mako 2 skates.
