NHL Three Stars – What are they using?

FIRST STAR – SCOTT HARTNELL, LW, COLUMBUS BLUE JACKETS

Scott Hartnell Columbus Blue Jackets

Scott Hartnell powered his way to first start last week by picking up five goals in four games for the Columbus Blue Jackets. His five points tied him for second in the league last week as well. Hartnell has been playing well for the Blue Jackets this season. He now has 21 goals and 27 assists on the season, good for 48 points.

When it comes to gear, Scott Hartnell is mostly a Bauer guy. Up top, Hartnell wears a Bauer Re-Akt helmet. His gloves are Warrior Dynasty AX1, while he dangles and snipes with a Bauer Nexus 8000 stick. He also uses Bauer pants, but oddly enough, wears Reebok 20k skates instead of Bauer.

SECOND STAR – CAM TALBOT, G, NEW YORK RANGERS

Cam Talbot New York Rangers

Cam Talbot had a very successful week with the Rangers last week. He went 3-0-0 in net with a 1.00 goals against average along witha .969 save percentage. Talbot has helped launch the Rangers to the top spot in the NHL. He is now 17-6-4 on the season.

Talbot wears Reebok gear for the most part. He uses the Reebok Premier XLT goal pads, as well as the Premier XLT catch glove and blocker. When it comes to his stick, however, Talbot prefers Bauer as he is currently using a Bauer Reactor goal stick.

Andrew Hammond has been real hot lately. Last week, he went 3-0-0 with a 1.30 goals against average and .957 save percentage. Hammond is now 10-0-1 in his first 11 starts with the Senators.

As we covered a couple weeks ago, Andrew Hammond has been using Vaughn gear. He wears Vaughn goal pads and also uses a Vaughn catch glove and Vaughn blocker. Additionally, Hammond uses a Vaughn stick as part of his setup.
