CCM RBZ Speedburner Stick

CCM will be updating their RBZ stick lineup this summer with the new premier level CCM RBZ Speedburner stick. While details  of the stick are still a bit scarce, here’s what we do know.

The CCM RBZ Speedburner stick will utilize a speed pocket construction in the blade. This provides a trampoline effect to maximize puck speed and really launch your shot. You’re going to get a fast and powerful shot with this stick.

There will also be a new powerhosel technology used in the RBZ Speedburner stick. CCM has modified the rib inside the hosel to improve the structure of the taper. This will not only give it a nicer and cleaner look, but will also improve energy transfer and increase durability in that area.

The CCM RBZ Speedburner stick will also have extremely low swing weight. This means that there will be a better weight distribution throughout the stick which will result in a faster swing speed during shots.

CCM’s RBZ Speedburner stick will be available in retail stores this summer.

    • I’ve gathered that it will be the same blade as the superfast, but ribs in the hosel to help with durability and with the “pop” that rbzs are made for

    • I definitely think so! I typically play defense and really like this stick for it. The Speedburner provides just enough performance for stick handling and making good passes, but it definitely excels at shot velocity and power—two areas where defenseman taking shots from the point really benefit.

  1. This stick is amazing!!! i have already had one in my hands and my slap shot excelled from 85 mph to 92 mph

  2. I’ve used the rbz stick since the line was first created. And every year as a new stick was added the stick has gotten better and better, I personally use the superfast, hands down its the best stick I’ve ever used. But I had problems with them lasting, my rbz stage 2 started cracking and breaking up at the toe toward the end of the first season I used it. I had the same problem with the superfast but I’ve also snapped three of them. So I’m looking forward to the speedburner hopefully it has the same rbz feel and performance but with a reinforced toe and more durable shaft.

  3. Right now I have the CCM RBZ Superfast. I love the stick and I plan on getting the CCM RBZ Speed Burner. I think it has lots of potential.

  4. Im a huge CCM fan and will probably buy these, but I broke 4 Superfasts in the blade, if this is gonna have the same blade I will probably be crying about it just after the warranty goes up

  5. I have been using the RBZ CCM Superfast last hockey season. I had a problem with the toe because it keeps on getting chipped off. But when i first got the superfast my shot was 50% better then before. Now since the speedburner is coming out i have high expectations. I dislike the mix of red and white from the superfast and the stage 2 but its really the stick that matters (to me). I hope the toe has better durability.

  6. I have been researching about the details for the Speedburner and one thing I came across on, was that they said it would be a little harder to catch passes and so im just wondering, although the shot control and power will be increased due to the new blade, will it actually affect the difficulty for me to catch a pass on the fly?

  7. If CCM puts a toe curve like an E28 on one of these, I will definitely pick one up. The only reason I haven’t gotten an RBZ or a Tacks is the curves on CCM sticks to me are to bland.

  8. I bought my son the stage 2 and superfast the superfast came apart in the toe and I got him the speedburner and its not even month old and its coming apart same as superfast
