2015 NHL Trade Deadline Recap

Another trade deadline has come and gone, with this one failing to yield a significant amount of surprise moves or blockbuster trades. Still, most of the players rumored to be dealt were shipped to trade deadline buyers looking to bolster their lineups for long playoff runs, and the sellers stocked up on draft picks and prospects as they look to rebuild and fortify for next season. Here is a rundown of the major moves from the 2015 NHL Trade Deadline:

The Boston Bruins acquired forward Brett Connolly from the Tampa Bay Lightning in exchange for a 2015 second round draft pick and a 2016 second round draft pick.

The Tampa Bay Lightning got defenseman Braydon Coburn from the Philadelphia Flyers for defenseman Radko Gudas, a 2015 first round draft pick and a 2016 second round draft pick.

The Edmonton Oilers sent defenseman Jeff Petry to the Montreal Canadiens for a second round draft pick and a conditional third/fourth/fifth round draft pick.

The St. Louis Blues acquired defenseman Zbynek Michalek and a conditional third round draft pick from the Arizona Coyotes in exchange for Maxim Letunov.

The Chicago Blackhawks sent Ben Smith to the San Jose Sharks for Andrew Desjardins.

The Detroit Red Wings acquired defenseman Marek Zidlicky from the New Jersey Devils for a conditional third round draft pick in the 2016 draft.

The New York Islanders traded the San Jose Sharks for forward Tyler Kennedy in exchange for a conditional third round draft pick in 2016. The Islanders also acquired Michael Neuvirth from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Chad Johnson and a conditional third round draft pick at the 2016 Entry Draft.

The Minnesota Wild acquired Jordan Leopold and a fifth round draft pick from the Columbus Blue Jackets for Justin Falk. The Wild also acquired forward Chris Stewart from the Buffalo Sabres for a second round draft pick in 2017.

The Anaheim Ducks picked up defenseman James Wisniewski and a third round pick from the Columbus Blue Jackets for William Karlsson, Rene Bourque and a second round draft pick.

The Toronto Maple Leafs sent center Olli Jokinen to the St. Louis Blues for Joakim Lindstrom and a conditional sixth round pick.

The Montreal Candiens got Torrey Mitchell from the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Jack Nevins and a seventh round draft pick.
