NHL Three Stars – What are they using?
- Updated: February 10, 2015
FIRST STAR – DEVAN DUBNYK, G, MINNESOTA WILD
Devan Dubnyk made a return to the NHL’s three stars again this week, but this time earned first star honors. He did so by going 2-0-0 during the week and posting two shutouts. He has helped Minnesota to 6 straight victories.
As we mentioned last week, Dubnyk is a Bauer guy when it comes to his goalie gear. He wears the Bauer Supreme Total One NXG goal pads, as well as the Total One NXG glove and blocker. Dubnyk uses a Bauer goal stick in net as well.
SECOND STAR – COREY PERRY, RW, ANAHEIM DUCKS
Corey Perry of the Anaheim Ducks earned second star honors by burying four goals and adding two assists for six points during the week.
Up top, Perry wears a Bauer helmet. On his hands are a pair of CCM pro model gloves. Perry does his sniping with Easton’s Synergy HTX stick and has been using Easton sticks for a long time now. For his pants, Perry rolls with Bauer and on his feet are the Bauer Nexus 8000 skates.
THIRD STAR – DAVID DESHARNAIS, C, MONTREAL CANADIENS
Third star of the week honors were earned by David Desharnais after posting one goal, five assists and a +6 rating last week. Desharnais is currently riding a four game point streak.
Desharnais is a CCM/Reebok guy from top to bottom. He’s still currently wearing a Reebok 11k helmet with an Oakley visor, but will eventually be transitioned out of that and into a CCM version. His gloves are a CCM pro model, while his current twig of choice is the CCM RBZ Superfast. He wears a Reebok 9K girdle, Reebok 7k elbow pads, Reebok 11K shin guards, and the CCM U+ shoulder pads. On his feet are the all new CCM Ribcor skates in white, which will be available next year.
