Coming this spring, CCM will be launching a brand new line of protective equipment under the Tacks name. The CCM Ultra Tacks pants will be their premier level pants offered under this line. Let’s take a closer look at what the Ultra Tacks pants will offer.
According to CCM, the Ultra Tacks pants were designed to be highly protective and offer a customizable experience.
CCM has used their new D3O smart foam technology in the Ultra Tacks pants, allowing them to absorb low energy impacts while protecting against high energy impacts. In other words, the padding in the CCM Ultra Tacks pants will be able to react differently to varying impact intensities throughout game play. Whether its a low impact, or high impact, you will be protected.
The CCM Ultra Tacks Pants are constructed using nylon abrasion panels. These help to reduce weight and optimize durability as well. Throughout the hip, you’ll find a PE cap with D3O smart foam on the hip joint. The back protection will include HD floating spine protection in order to help protect against impacts in the lower back. The groin will be integrated into the shell construction, meaning you will have improved mobility would should increase overall performance. The kidney region will also offer molded PE protection.
In terms of customization, you’ll find that CCM included a +1″ adjustment to customize length for growing players.
