Raphael Kaefer of Germany Scores Unreal Short Handed Goal

Raphael Kaefer is a player you’ve likely never heard of. He plays for Klostersee EHC in the Germany Oberliga and leads the team in points. Kaefer recently scored an incredible short handed goal that will put him on the radar many.

Check out the video below as Kaefer skates the puck out of his own zone and carries it into the offensive zone. He makes a nice cut to the slot before toe dragging, spinning away from the defender, and then beating the goalie with a deke and a backhand. The toe drag and spin left the defender absolutely frozen and helpless on this play, while Kaefer made a name for himself.

As I mentioned, Kaefer leads his team in scoring currently. In 31 games played, he has picked up 22 goals and 19 assists, good for 41 points on the season so far.
