FIRST STAR – DUSTIN BYFUGLIEN, D, WINNIPEG JETS
Dustin Byfuglien picked up 3 goals and 3 assists last week en route to earning the first star honors. Byfuglien uses a custom two-piece Warrior Covert QR1 stick. The custom design offers a white shaft and a blue blade rather than the traditional QR1 setup. On his hands, Byfuglien is rocking a pair of Warrior Covert gloves. He also uses Warrior pants. Up top you’ll find a CCM V8 helmet. The most unique part of his setup would be the skates. Byfuglien uses a custom pair of VH Footwear skates. These skates are custom made in Canada to your specifications, and as you can tell, Buff customized his with a very unique look.
SECOND STAR – TOMAS TATAR, LW, DETROIT RED WINGS
Tomas Tatar picked up 5 goals and added another 2 assists to earn himself second star honors. Tomas Tatar is a CCM guy pretty much all the way through. Up top, he’s wearing a CCM Resistance helmet. He does his sniping with the CCM Ribcor stick, while wearing CCM HG12 gloves. The HG12 gloves are a pro model based off of the Reebok 11k. Tatar also wears CCM pants, the HP35 pro model pants to be exact. On his feet, however, Tomas Tatar is still skating on the older white Reebok skates. He will likely transition to the new CCM Ribcor skates eventually, and get a white pair similar to Matt Duchene’s.
THIRD STAR – KYLE OKPOSO, RW, NEW YORK ISLANDERS
Kyle Okposo has been lighting the lamp this season playing alongside John Tavares. Last week he picked up 5 goals and added an assist to become third star of the week. Okposo is pretty committed to the Easton brand right now, except on his feet. Up top, you’ll find Okposo in an Easton E400 helmet. Okposo has been sniping with his Easton V9E Elite stick while wearing Easton Pro 4 Roll gloves. His pants are also Easton branded. Okposo will not fully commit to Easton, however, as he is not skating in the Mako skates. Instead, Okposo is wearing Bauer APX 2 skates.
