CCM will be introducing a series of new helmets in 2015 to go along with their Fitlite helmet which we introduced last week. Falling in line just beneath the Fitlite will be the all new CCM FL80 helmet.
The CCM FL80 helmet will utilize the R.E.D. system of liquid filled bladders which are positioned in the helmet between the liner and the player’s head. R.E.D. stands for Rotational Energy Dampening, and it’s the latest system introduced by CCM for their helmets. You will find it on the Fitlite and the Resistance helmets as well.
The liner of the CCM FL80 helmet will be made with high grade EPP with Lycra laminated comfort cushions. This will provide an elite top end level of protection, while remaining extremely comfortable as well.
CCM’s FL80 helmet will offer a high density PE based shell, along with a PETG subshell. These materials offer lightweight protection, and are available in various color schemes. For example, you can match a black helmet with silver subshell. Helmet colors available include black, white, navy blue, red, and royal blue. Subshell colors available include silver, black, and red.
The CCM FL80 helmet will be available by itself, or it can be purchased as a combo with a cage.
