Todd Fiddler Delivers Glass Shattering Check on Theo Peckham

If you’re not familiar with Todd Fiddler, you might remember his name a little better after seeing this clip.

Last Friday night, December 12, the ECHL’s Quad City Mallards faced off against the Wichita Thunder. In this particular play, Peckham and Fiddler were both headed towards a loose puck in the corner. Peckham spun and fired the puck out of the zone as Fiddler laid on a strong hit.

The force of the hit added on to Peckham’s strong momentum slammed him into the boards and he was covered in shattered glass.

Everyone immediately stood up to see the damage that had been done. In a classy manner though, Peckham’s number one concern was for the fans who were impacted by the shattered glass.

Peckham, of the Wichita Thunder, has played a grand total of 160 NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers. His main role on the ice is to be an agitator and fighter. With Edmonton he amassed 388 penalty minutes.

Todd Fiddler, on the other hand, is a 21 year old who has played 7 seasons in the WHL and is now in his first full season in the ECHL. He has tallied 3 goals and 5 assists in 16 games, and clearly has no issues throwing his weight around.

The Mallards would go on to win the game by a final score of 3-1.
