Bauer has dropped the APX name for its next line of Vapor sticks, and instead moved towards something new. But the name of the Vapor stick isn’t the only thing that will be changing, the technology behind it has also been modified as well.
The latest Vapor stick from Bauer Hockey will be called the Bauer Vapor 1X stick. It is scheduled for release on February 13th, 2015, and will retail for $269.99.
The Bauer Vapor 1X stick was designed to allow the shooter to get a quick release and get a shot off as fast as possible. Bauer has also designed the Vapor 1X stick to offer optimal balance. In fact, according to the manufacturer, the Bauer Vapor 1X stick is ideal for the crafty player who excels in puck handling and quick-release shots.
Bauer’s biggest change on the Vapor 1X stick is their new Quick Release Taper (QRT) Technology. This aggressive taper design is optimized to load and recoil energy in the lower portion of the shaft allowing a player to get their shot off as fast as possible. This new QRT technology on the Bauer Vapor 1X stick is perfect for quick motion snap and slap shots.
Prior to the Bauer Vapor 1X stick, the Vapor line had been known for featuring Bauer’s IntelliSense shot technology. This new taper will be quite an adjustment from the previous technology which first made its debut on the X60 stick.
Another big change on the Vapor 1X stick will be the new Aero-Sense Core II in the blade. This new blade is designed with Bauer’s new Dual Density Aero Foam 3 for a light and crisp feel. The SENSE technology has also been upgraded, enhancing playability, performance, and durability of the stick. Its light weight also helps to create an improved balance of the stick, and also improve torsional stability for a solid and quick release on all shots.
