Sam Tageson’s Day with the Sharks

Yesterday, the San Jose Sharks made the dreams of an 18 year old fan come true as they signed him to a one day contract.

Tageson, who is battling a life threatening heart condition, was able to spend the day with the Sharks players and take part in game day activities. He also skated through the shark and on to the ice at the SAP Center, and stood in line next to the Sharks starters during the national anthem.

It got emotional for everyone in attendance, but the 17,562 fans cheered on Tageson and gave him a well deserved standing ovation.

“It’s really awesome,” Tageson told reporters. “I like it a lot. A once-in-a-lifetime experience.”
