Next spring, Bauer will be making their regular update to the Supreme line of skates. Expected in late April, the Bauer Supreme MX3 skates will be the replacement for the Total One NXG.

The Bauer MX3 skates were first unveiled to retailers at Bauer World 2013. While Bauer has only shared a picture of part of the new skate online, full pictures of the Bauer MX3 skates have finally started to leak.

The pictures of the Bauer Supreme MX3 skates below show that Bauer has refined their top of the line Supreme skate even further. Gone is the Tuuk Lightspeed 2 holder. It has been replaced by the Tuuk Lightspeed Edge holder, which was first seen on the APX 2 skates. This holder has the trigger system allowing blades to be replaced quickly. The Bauer MX3 skates will feature the injected stability lacing system as well, which also made its debut on the APX 2 skates.

The MX3 boot itself has a sharp new design, incorporating black with a bit of gray and some small gold accents. The total edge comfort is now white instead of the black on previous Supreme skates. To go along with that, Bauer seems to have modified the inside of the MX3 skates quite a bit. The new hydra max liner looks incredibly soft and comfortable, improving on an already great design.

As previously mentioned, we expect the new Bauer Supreme Total One MX3 skates to arrive to retail stores in late April. Check out the pictures below of the new Bauer MX3 skates and drop us a note in the comments with your thoughts! Will you be picking up these skates, or something else from the new Supreme line, when they are released in 2014?

  1. I like the look, the lacing system looks better than the apx2 skates (despite being the same structurally) and I think the black with some silver, white and yellow looks really good.

  2. I knew this skate was coming from the when the first total one was released. They went from blue, to gold, so it was obvious platinum silver was the next cosmetic look on the cards. I would love to see darker black shades, more apparent platinum silver, and tan lining on the insoles. Would be a nice to have shades of the bauer 7000’s with this new boot.

  3. So I am basically paying a thousand bucks for the same skate with a 30 dollar holder, a new lacing system and a new liner, oh and some different colors…

  4. I have used these skates on the ice for a total of about 16 hours and I can definitely say they are extremely light and very responsive. I play bantam hockey and a player who mainly focuses on power. I can say these skates are better than the Apx2 skates which are the same price and if you have the cash as they have an extreme price tag ($940) and I guarantee you your money will not go to waste

  5. These skates have a completely different feel then the nxg. Better response/locking laces/a better form fitting boot/a great heel lock. The best all around skate for the $$$$
