The Detroit Red Wings have continued to draft well, year after year. This is one of the reasons why they continue to make the playoffs and have done so 20 straight seasons now.
One of their top 15 prospects, Andreas Athanasiou, has been confident in his ability to make the Wings squad one day. The Barrie Colts forward showed us why with a nasty breakaway move from a recent scrimmage. After the defenseman tripped over himself, Athanasiou was left to skate in on the opposing goalie with as much time as he needed. The result, an instant YouTube hit for hockey fans.
