Jordan Eberle Scores Hat Trick in Under 3 Minutes

If the NHL starts up any time soon, it appears that Edmonton’s Jordan Eberle is already inĀ mid-seasonĀ form. He’s been spending his lockout playing for AHL affiliate Oklahoma City with the rest of the young Oilers core in Taylor Hall, Ryan Nugent-Hopkins and Justin Schultz.

Eberle ended his 2012 in bang-bang-bang fashion as he scored three goals in their victory over Texas Monday night. For the season, he’s played in 31 games and has 23 goals and 47 points. He rounded out his night when he assisted on Schultz’s goal later in the night. When he scored his first goal, it was scoreless late in the first period. By the time the teams reached the locker room Texas found themselves down 3-0 and eventually lost 5-2.

Eberle’s hat trick can be seen in the first minute of the highlight package below.
