Nothing like a game seven to decide who will advance to the Eastern Conference Finals. The Washington Capitals’ home ice proved to be an advantage as the New York Rangers were unable to win the series. Capitals Head Coach Dale Hunter showed class, both starting and ending with Joel Ward on the ice. Ward, the villain of game six, took a double-minor penalty for high sticking in the final minutes of the game resulting in not only the tying goal, but also the game winning goal in overtime. Despite the Capitals being scored on with an empty net with 51 seconds to go, the Capitals hung on for the win. Net-minder Braden Holtby, yet again, had a stellar performance stopping 30 of 31 shots for a .968 save percentage. Game seven will be played Saturday night at 7:30 PM EST in New York. Any predictions?

  1. I won’t hide it, I dislike New York Rangers Head Coach John Tortorella. Thought this was a good picture of him being his emotional self.
