Of course it was a strategic move- they just didn’t
want to dump him.

I guess we both agree that he may longer be a Wing…ever.

Maltby going on IR was a strategic move to make room for Lilja. As for seeing him again, I do believe we will not. This is the last year in his contract where he becomes an UFA next year. I do not believe his play is where it used to be and that the Wings have enough young guys they can bring up.

came back from injuries, ending his season.

I’m a little embarrassed for Chelios….maybe more than a little.

First it’s playing in the AHL, now Atlanta???
