  1. Attended this event on Sunday and was impressed with who we saw. While the names on the ice were somewhat unfamiliar, and hockey names of the future, the people in the stands were past players, current coaches, announcers and GM’s. My wife left one arena as Red Wing GM Holland held the door for her. I stood by Columbus coach Ken Hitchcock as he worked out the cramps from sitting in the metal grand stands (he’s use to standing to watch the game). Mark Messier stood by the glass looking like a father who might be watching his son at an early morning practice. It was fun hearing my wife say, I don’t know his name, but that’s the coach of Carolina (Paul Maurice). It was also neat to look at hockey names and wonder if these were the kids of players I watched over the years, Ferraro, Savard, Krupp, Crowder and McRae to mention a few. A neat event for fans of all ages, while the games showcased the talent we will all be watching soon.
